People who fear the sexuality task force is skewed or that the deck is stacked frequently approach James Childs, director for the ELCA studies on sexuality. That includes those who don't want change and those who fear the church won't change enough, he told the task force at its Sept. 13-15 meeting in Chicago.
Many on the task force — appointed to lead a study of sexuality mandated by the 2001 Churchwide Assembly — hear such concerns.
