Youth offer words of encouragement to Palestinian students

I hope someday you can wake up with no worry." That's the message Chris Horn, 14, wants to send to Palestinian children who live amid conflict in the Middle East.

Chris is one of 404 youth who entered the 2002 "Youngchurch" contest. The Lutheran asked the youth to make cards with words of encouragement for Palestinian youth who attend Lutheran schools.

Their messages range from "peace be with you" to "God loves you" to "we pray for you." Jennifer Forrest, 14, sent a "hug from a friend in America." Jennifer Peele, 10, knows what the letters in peace stand for:
