To hear God's voice telling us who we truly are — broken and sinful to be sure, but eternally and tenderly treasured by God — there is no substitute for an ongoing participatory encounter with Jesus. We need to know Jesus, not merely know about him.
This happens when we enter Gospel stories as we do a room. Enter the scene as a participant in the story. Notice what people look like, what they say and do. What bubbles up in you as you look and listen?
