At 9 a.m. one Sunday, as Chris Beamsley was finishing the early worship service at Faith Lutheran Church, Rochelle, Ill., the pastor's wife, Jennifer, was at home in a panic.
The Beamsleys' 2-year-old daughter, Cece, had fallen, hit her head on a wall and was bleeding profusely. "And as my wife opened our door, looking for help, here comes John walking out of worship," Beamsley said.
John Prabhakar, a doctor in the small town of Rochelle since 1974, took the girl to his office and fixed her wound.
