Bring us home

... to where sorrowing wives and little Iraqi girls alike find comfort

War broke out as I was traveling outside the country, and a prayer formed in my heart: . Bring me home to touch again the curve of a familiar cheek. Bring me home that I may cradle the gentle flesh of the ones who love me best.

But it's not my prayer alone. As the battle of Baghdad begins, it's the Spirit's prayer in the hearts of millions, the cry of creation itself.
