The organ music swells, soap-opera style. A young woman sits on a doctor's examining table. Her symptoms: A miserable combination of bloating and emptiness that hasn't been relieved by her new car, her house, her boat or a recent big raise. The scowling doctor pronounces the diagnosis: "Affluenza!"
