The writers are: Munib Younan, bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Palestine and Jordan; Samir Said, a Palestinian who runs a falafil restaurant in the Christian quarter of the Old City and is a member of the Arabic-speaking congregation of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Jerusalem; and Michael and Susan Thomas, ELCA missionaries who serve as pastors of Redeemer's English-speaking congregation.
