1 can (4 oz, about 1 cup) ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon each: ground cloves, nutmeg
3/4 cup applesauce
2 tablespoons white glue
1. Combine the cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg in a medium bowl. Stir in the applesauce and glue. Work mixture with hands until ingredients are thoroughly mixed and dough is smooth. Divide into four portions. On a floured surface, roll each portion to 1/4 inch thickness (don't roll too thin or ornament will curl when dry).
2. Cut dough with floured cookie cutter into desired shapes. Using a straw or toothpick, make a small hole in the top of the ornament. Place cutouts on wire racks and allow to dry at room temperature for several days. Turn ornaments over once a day.
3. Thread ribbon through the hole and hang the ornament on your Christmas tree.
