'I just don't have time'

Too many of us serve too many gods

 

Last week I overheard a conversation right after church: "I'd really like to help out, but I just don't have any time. It seems like I'm late home from work every night. Then there's the kids' soccer league, bowling on Thursdays and all the stuff to do around the house. I just don't know where the time goes."

Now there's a person with a religious problem. Not too little religion, but too much — or rather, too many.

Martin Luther said that whatever we set our heart on or put our trust in becomes our religion and our god.
