Lutheran Youth Organization

ELCA Youth Ministries
A section of the Division for Congregational Ministries is devoted to promoting youth participation at all ages and expressions of the church. This office provides resources and support to youth and adult leaders.

Lutheran Outdoor Ministries sponsors Journeys 2000 — www.elca.org/dcm/camps/journey.html — a directory that supplies information on volunteer, community service, social ministry, hunger and justice opportunities. This site also contains information about high adventure outdoor experiences.

Evergreen Youth Television
This program trains youth in professional recording techniques and allows them to produce videos that reflect their faith and values. The ministry is based in the Seattle area and scholarships are available (www.evergreentv.com or e-mail Dave Ellingson, executive producer, at eytv@hotmail.com

Lutheran Student Movement
This group connects Lutheran churches with the academic community. It's on almost 150 private college and university campuses and has participating congregations near 600 campuses (www.lsm-usa.org or contact the ELCA Division for Higher Education at 800-638-3522, Ext. 2850).
