O Roger, you were always ahead of me. In reading, intellect, writing, publishing--and in life itself: Everyone should have one friend like you. It is a gift of our heavenly God, which I return in all my writing. But in dying, too, faithfully, peacefully, sitting in your chair, you've gone before me. I will follow. I will die. But this is also a holy gift, that someone has modeled the way to die.
