Lutherans respond to Hurricane Mitch

As of Dec. 29, the ELCA World Hunger and Disaster Appeals received $735,909 for the Millions for Mitch appeal to help survivors of Hurricane Mitch. In addition, Lutheran World Relief dispatched $800,000 in quilts, clothing and material aid. Partners in Honduras have written, saying, "Recovering from this disaster is a long-term project."
