Your recent article on justification (August, page 38) claims Lutherans and Roman Catholics now agree on the doctrine of justification. Really? Then how are we to understand the Vatican's quote in that same article which reads, "We cannot yet speak of a consensus such as would eliminate every difference between Catholics and Lutherans in the understanding of justification"? Perhaps your article would have been more appropriately titled, "Justification: Lutherans, Catholics agree — sorta, kinda, almost.
