dThe church expects pastors to respect confidentiality

Don't pastors take an oath about keeping conversations confidential? The pastor is in a position of power. I don't trust my pastor because of a breach of confidentiality.

Our synod told us that we could call only candidates approved by our bishop. What is the ELCA's position?
