Just say 'no' to dessert

If your pastor is planning a home visit, you may want to rethink serving that sugar-laden coffeecake. Pastors can be torn between eating lo-cal, healthy foods and offending their host. A study by Duke Divinity School, Durham, N.C., says U.S. pastors are mostly satisfied with their jobs but could stand to lose a few pounds. The survey of about 1,500 clergy nationwide showed that 46 percent of pastors are overweight and, according to the standardized Body Mass Index, 30 percent are obese. Both figures are higher than for the general population.
