A survey shows that 64 percent of young people who worship weekly consider voting extremely or very important, compared to 37 percent of non-churchgoers. The survey also shows that church-going youth are more likely to volunteer and have a positive view of government.
The Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning & Engagement commissioned the survey of 1,500 people ages 15 to 25. For more statistics on their civic and political attitudes.
