Cleanup on aisle 2, clergy on aisle 5

British Wal-Marts — called ASDA supermarkets — have a new special, but not on anything you might expect. Along with music, milk or jeans, shoppers can find a chaplain. About 50 of the 256 stores provide chaplains to support employees and customers who are grieving or need to talk to someone. Stores began stocking up on clergy four years ago when the manager of a suburban London ASDA convinced a chaplain to volunteer. In at least one store, employees are taking fewer sick days since the chaplain began.
