The Magazine of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Point & click

A no-frills section of the Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute's Web site offers resources for congregations to observe and promote this year's Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (Jan. 18-25). Liturgies, suggested Bible texts and prayers are available in both English and Spanish. The site also suggests ways to foster ecumenical dialogue and worship throughout the year.

Sponsored by Lenoir-Rhyne College's Center for Family and Community Relations, Hickory, N.C., this site offers couples and families tips, quizzes and resources for maintaining healthy relationships and mending broken ones. Well-animated family scenarios allow users to choose a perspective from which to view and control conflict. Users with a fast Internet connection will better appreciate this graphically heavy site.

Lutheran World Relief's Stand With Africa site now offers articles, games and Bible studies specifically for middle-schoolers. Activities introduce sixth- through eighth-graders to African agriculture, languages and the daily lives of students their age. The Bible study includes a teacher's guide and homework suggestions.
