Joe Rowe won a mental battle long ago. Now there's work to be done.

This is typical, says his pastor, Raymond Flachmeier. "Joe embodies the 'lilies in the field' philosophy. He doesn't worry about what he can't control."

"That was a mental battle I fought and won long ago," Rowe says. "I had to handle this lifestyle and accept limitations. Now I have today to live."

"Joe shows how creative, flexible and spontaneous the human spirit is — and makes us aware of the unused capabilities in all of us," Flachmeier says.
