If it takes, as the saying goes, a whole village to raise a child, then Littleton, Colo., is moving in the right direction.
Parents and Community Connecting Together--headed by Rick Barger, pastor of Abiding Hope Lutheran Church--was formed to answer, "How can we build a healthier community than the one we have?"
Littleton's county is a rapidly growing area struggling with many of the same problems cities and towns across America suffer. A study conducted two years ago showed that the area had an increasingly high rate of youth drug and alcohol use, a lack of parental involvement and low neighborhood attachment.
