During the Freeman siege in Jordan, Mont., last spring, I was pleased to read that Helen Young, the pastor of St. John Lutheran Church there, responded to the stresses in that little community with a sure sense of pastoral care. I was proud of our congregation and our pastor. What a surprise it was to find out that Pastor Young is not a Lutheran, but a newly ordained Presbyterian! St. John is only one of two congregations she is serving. The other is Presbyterian.
