The blue letters on Yin Wei Li's T-shirt read, "Jesus loves me." The pastor and I were talking in a hotel lobby in Guilin, China. "Our new church was built in 1994," he said, telling how the old one, built by Southern Baptists in 1912, was taken over by business interests who put a department store on the property. Then a new church, a bright, white building with three high steeples, was built on a prominent street corner in Guilin.
