Reading through the Psalms, a few each day, you can easily find many other shades of human experience and prayer.
In this season they are strange gifts--the Psalms. Still, ancient Jewish poets struggling to make sense of their mysterious lives and their mysterious God left them to us as just that, a gift, however strange. Even more strange is the stable with its dirty straw and animal dung, where that same God placed his son in a feedbox swaddled in a Father's care.
