Let me get this straight. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Churchwide Assembly (see page 8) approved full communion with Christians with whom we continue to have a fundamental theological disagreement (over the presence of Christ in the Eucharist), and it rejected full communion with Christians who share our views on theology but who have a different form of church government, one followed by many of our fellow Lutherans in Europe (bishops).
