'More than 7,500 women are expected to participate when Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America meets for its third triennial convention July 11-14 in Minneapolis. The numbers make it "the largest gathering of adults in the ELCA," says Charlotte E. Fiechter, the organization's executive director. "It's a time to touch the grass roots."
