The Episcopal Church gave overwhelming approval to the Concordat of Agreement, the document declaring full communion with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
There were some dissenting comments but virtually
no dissenting votes in Philadelphia when the 72nd General Convention of
the Episcopal Church endorsed the Concordat on July 18.
