Streams of youth trickled down Bourbon Street in New Orleans. At each intersection, the streams converged until one river--35,000 strong--flooded the streets, stopping traffic, and poured into the Superdome.
Inside, the crowd's cheering and stomping to the music shook the floors at the opening worship service of River of Hope, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's National Youth Gathering, July 23-27.
