Cyberchurch seeks pastor

With all of cyberspace as its mission field, the Church of England's new i-church (www.i-church.org) plans to connect those whose work or lifestyle restricts them from participating in the life of a local congregation. The only building project in this congregation's future is its Web site, which will house a virtual sanctuary for daily worship.

Like other congregations, the church will welcome visitors but also maintain a membership roll of those seeking to make a commitment to prayer, study and social action. The Diocese of Oxford, with which the i-church is affiliated, interviewed candidates for a half-time Web pastor in April.
