Worship is the thing most church members do most often. It inspires them or leaves them cold. It shapes a congregation's importance in their lives. It determines whether they come back next week.
Worship also is a battleground between members who want traditional worship and those who prefer it contemporary. Some pastors are pushing recalcitrant congregations to be more contemporary. Some congregations struggle with traditional pastors. Some worship wars are about music, others about language. Some congregations offer a "menu" of worship styles.
