Ecumenical proposals draw spirited reader response

I'm against the Concordat of Agreement with the Episcopal Church (Ecumenical Decisions 1997, May, pages 8-13). It is unnecessary and divisive. If our Episcopal brothers and sisters prefer a hierarchical, historical, top-down episcopacy, fine. For Lutheran ministry we have emphasized the unity that the Spirit brings through the gospel preached and sacraments administered rightly. It is enough.
