Soft on sin?

Preaching the gospel while ignoring sin is not good

Are pastors too soft on sin? We live in a "he did it, not me" time. The gospel has been well-preached, but where is the law?

It's intriguing that society is now asking, "Whatever became of sin?" when Christians hesitate to mention the term. We are likely still reacting to negative caricatures of pulpit pounding preachers.

Limited lectionary?

The lectionary we use today does not seem to cover Scripture well. Only a few Psalms are used. Some texts are repeated. There are hundreds of Bible stories we never hear or discuss. As we reach the unchurched, many don't know Daniel from John. Why are we so restricted?
