I had not been to church for nearly 27 years when, on Christmas Eve 1992, I went to Faith Lutheran Church. When Pastor [Terry C.] Thomas spoke, his message was simple. I distilled it into two words: "God came." It hit me with great force, and I began my way back to Christ at that moment. Nearly all of his sermons are like that--simple statements of profound spiritual meaning.
