Transformation. That's what Malcolm Minnick Jr. wants for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It's what the Division for Outreach board had in mind in March when it approved "In the City for Good," the urban initiative it's sending for action to the Churchwide Assembly in August. The initiative asks the ELCA to implement a decade-long emphasis on urban ministry to transform people's lives, congregations and communities.
