Three recent events made me realize how much I do not know. That has happened before, of course, but these items stand out.
The first was the cloning of Dolly, the sheep. How cloning occurs escapes me, but I can live without knowing how it works. I cannot escape, however, the ethical questions that cloning brings--and will continue to bring. Experience teaches that what science can do, it will. But scientists would not serve us well if they move on to cloning humans. I know plenty of people of whom one is enough!
