Why are Christians shy to point out the Jewishness of Jesus? After all, Jesus celebrated Passover when a new covenant was instituted, which some see as the completion of the only covenant between God and God's chosen people.
I remember the story of a child who came home from Sunday school and asked his mother, "Was Jesus a Jew?"
"Yes," she said.
He replied, "I always knew that God was a Lutheran, but I never knew that Jesus was a Jew!"
