Lutheran and Episcopal seminarians train together in Texas

At two seminaries in Austin, Texas, Lutheran and Episcopal students learn side by side, more than half of them going on to serve in culturally diverse settings.

"Despite our distinctiveness as Lutherans and Episcopalians, we have a lot to share and learn from each other's religious traditions," says Craig Gabriel, a student at the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest. "Our alliance offers numerous opportunities for us as Christians to witness and share the good news of the gospel."

For more than 20 years, the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest has shared space, student life, worship and classes at the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest.
