"Christianity is multicultural in and of itself," Ahn explained. "It appeals to all families of the earth. We are to make disciples of all nations. It's not just individualistic. For me, even the Trinity is a sign of multiculturalism."

The lively and creative ministries of Lutheran congregations in Los Angeles make them an ideal laboratory for learning the skills needed in today's society. With its strong cultural diversity, that city represents today what demographers say this country will increasingly look like as we move into the next millennium.
