The new year has been greeted with all sorts of fascinating "best" lists. One of the more interesting is "The 100 Best Spiritual Books of the Century," by HarperSanFrancisco, the religious imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. The books were nominated by a distinguished panel including Frederic Brussat, whose "Values &Visions" reviews appear on this page. But before you peruse the top 10, I'd like to pose a question: What does "spiritual" mean?
