Revised proposal accepts historic episcopate from Lutheran and Episcopal churches

The most dramatic shifts in the revised proposal for full communion with the Episcopal Church are that the ELCA accepts the historic episcopate as a sign of unity from other Lutheran churches overseas and the Episcopal Church while affirming that it is neither necessary nor essential to unity.
