Pastors and other church friends regularly brighten the days of elderly members when they visit. They can do something more during that time together: Be a frontline defense against fraud.
That's hardly their traditional role, but it's an emerging need to help older citizens. Nationwide, seniors are under assault from fraudulent telemarketers, "gypsy" contractors and dishonest business people.
