Admit to cheating and get kicked out of the U.S. Naval Academy or keep quiet and graduate? Jeff Gantar faced this dilemma following a 1992 cheating scandal that involved most of his class at the Annapolis, Md., academy.
Gantar had been a standout for most of his life. With his dad as
coach, he excelled in baseball and accepted only the best from himself
in school. His mother saw to his spiritual training, taking him to Holy
Trinity Lutheran Church in Spokane, Wash.
