I enjoyed "What's in a name?" (November, page 34). The name of our congregation bears deity, location and benefactor. Lordstown [Ohio] Evangelical Lutheran Church is located in a town named after Samuel Lord, who in the early 1800s referred to the area as "Eden"--a perfect place to live. Unfortunately, not everything in our fine village has such a godly name. Our school mascot is the Red Devil.
