Thank you for the powerful article, "My brother's keeper" (October, page 32). Last May, my son killed himself after a long and courageous fight against depression and alcoholism. He could no longer deal with the stigma and exclusion that his illness brought from both society and his profession. Thank you for helping spread the word that mental illnesses are biological disorders.
