"Wading into New York ruins Bush vows to ‘rid the world of evil.’" That headline ran across the newspaper I read September 15, four days after the terrorist attacks. Scanning the article, I looked in vain for the context in which the president had made that statement. I suspect Bush was referring to the evil of terrorism, not evil itself.
