Reader to reader: 'Just be my friend'

If you were homebound or bedridden, how would you want your congregation to help (February, page 10)? Here are excerpts from your letters.

Several years ago I cared for my [bedridden] mother. That meant I was also homebound, especially since my husband worked out of town. Although members may have called on her at Christmas, no one (other than the pastor) came to visit her often. I would have appreciated it if someone would have said they'd be here for an afternoon or evening so I could get out of the house.
