Several years ago I cared for my [bedridden]
mother. That meant I was also homebound, especially since my husband
worked out of town. Although members may have called on her at
Christmas, no one (other than the pastor) came to visit her often. I
would have appreciated it if someone would have said they'd be here for
an afternoon or evening so I could get out of the house.
