A pastor recently said, "If anyone asks you when you were born again, tell them it was on Good Friday." Weren't we born again in baptism?
Yes, but the pastor also is on the right track. Our baptism joins us to Good Friday and the day of Resurrection. As Paul says, "We have been buried with [Christ] by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life" (Romans 6:4).
