We bequeath unity and ministry

This is our last Churchwide Assembly in the 20th century. It is a good time to look back and marvel at the work that God has done among us in the last 100 years. In fact, our ancestors did exactly the same thing as they crossed the threshold into this century. The 1901 edition of The Lutheran Almanac carried the following description of the "Nineteenth Century in a Nutshell":
