Cookies for inmates

Packing cookies

More than 7,000 homemade cookies were delivered to the Virginia Beach Correctional Center in December thanks to Lutheran women of Virginia Beach (Tidewater), Va.

The cookies were bagged and sorted for delivery at Our Saviour Lutheran Church (oursaviourlcvb@yahoo.com), an effort supported by dozens of volunteers during the year, and distributed to more than 1,500 inmates.

Volunteers come from four area ELCA churches and two Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod congregations.
