Lutheran relief for Syria

As conflict in Syria continues to claim thousands of lives and displace millions from their homes, nearly 4 million Syrians are at risk for severe malnutrition. Economic sanctions against Syria prevent supplies and medicines from reaching people in need. At the Lutheran World Federation-managed Za’atri Refugee Camp in Jordan, more than 120,000 displaced people have found food and shelter. To help, ELCA Lutheran Disaster Response has provided more than $1 million in gifts. Send checks (write “Syria Conflict” on the memo line) to Lutheran Disaster Response, 39330 Treasury Center, Chicago, IL 60694-9300; or give by credit card at 800-638-3522 or www.elca.org/syria.
