Rituals are the mainstay of this ELCA-sponsored summer program — Simba Circle — at Camp EWALU near Strawberry Point, Iowa. Simba is Swahili for young lion. Simba Circle was created to release the potential and restore the promise of troubled young African American males. This is a safe environment intended to help reshape their lives and give them confidence and hope.
